Enyimba’s NPFL Away Form Worries Goalkeeper Thomas

By Adeboye Amosu:

Enyimba goalkeeper, Femi Thomas, insists the club must improve on their poor away form if they are to retain the Nigeria Professional Football League title, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The Peoples Elephant who won a record seventh NPFL title last season have lost all three away games this term and currently sit in the 16th position in the table.
They have also lost their two away fixtures in the CAF Champions League.
Thomas told Completesportsnigeria.com that the former African champions must start picking points on the road if they are to have a successful campaign.
“It’s important that we starting winning away games if we are to retain our title at the end of the season,” Thomas told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We really need to improve on our performance as we have not really been at our best.
“It’s still a long way to go before the end of the season and I believe we can still catch up on the top teams in the table.”
The Aba-based side defeated Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan 2-0 in their last league game.
Their next fixture is against Tunisian side, Etoile du Sahel, in the CAF Champions League.
